Frequently Asked Questions

When are the seminars/day camps?
Visit our online store for current dates and pricing. There are several seminars and day camps scheduled throughout the year, mostly in the warmer months (May through September).

How long do the seminars/day camps last?
Kids' seminars last from 3:00 Saturday afternoon to 3:30 Sunday afternoon. Seminar participants will stay overnight in the Education Building.

Day camps last from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm either on one day (ages 5-6) or two consecutive days (all other day camps).

How much do the seminars/day camps cost?
Seminars are $50 per child. This includes meals and all supplies.
Two-day day camps cost $40 per child. One-day day camps cost $30. This does NOT include meals; day camp attendees need to bring their own brown bag lunch. Drinks are provided. Cost of the seminar is non-refundable.

How do I sign up?
Visit our online store, or call (765) 567-2265, Mon-Fri, 9-5.

What will my child be doing all day?
The seminars each present different activities aimed at the different age groups. However, each seminar will include: seeing the wolves and bison up close (from the Wolf Park truck) during the bison demonstration; a Howl Night; a bonfire (weather permitting); talks and films about wolves; observation of wolf behavior; meeting the Park's red foxes in person; an overnight stay "camping" in the Education Building, and lots more!

What does my child need to bring?
For the seminars, children need to bring anything necessary for an overnight stay: pajamas, toothbrush, toothpaste, pillow, sleeping bag, and a change of clothes.

For seminars and day camps, your child will need long pants and closed-toed shoes (sneakers, not sandals) in order to visit with our tame foxes. He/she might also want to bring: a camera, a rain jacket or umbrella, or a favorite toy to sleep with.

May I attend with my child?
We prefer that parents do not attend the seminars or day camps. We have more than ample adult supervision.

Can children with disabilities attend the seminar/day camp?
Anyone who wishes may attend. We have wheelchair access and can make arrangements for almost anything, including ADHD. HOWEVER, we reserve the right to deny registration to anyone we feel we could not fully accomodate. PLEASE call (765) 567-2265 between 9-5 Mon-Fri if you feel your child's disability may affect his/her participation.

What if my child requires a special diet?
For seminars, we can make arrangements to have appropriate food for him/her. Please contact us before the seminar and explain his/her requirements, and we can work with you on providing appropriate meals for your child.

Are there hotels nearby for me to stay in while my child camps?
Try the Super 8 (765) 567-7100, which is within a 5 minute drive and has reduced rates for people visiting Wolf Park.

Are we allowed to take pictures?
Yes, and you are encouraged to do so! Please bring a camera! Flash is okay, but tripods are not.

What type of sleeping accommodations are there?
Seminar participants will be sleeping on a carpeted floor, indoors, in a two-room building with heat/air conditioning. There are two port-a-potties but no running water. (Drinking water will be provided.)

If you have any further questions about the seminars, please call Wolf Park at (765) 567-2265 between 9 and 5 Mon-Fri, or email Wolf Park Kids!.
